PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW FOR EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR DRESS REHEARSAL AND THE RECITAL!
STEP 1: USE THE DAY, TIME, CLASS, & TEACHER COLUMNS TO LOCATE YOUR DANCER'S CLASS(ES).
STEP 2: USE THE "DRESS REHEARSAL BELLPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL" COLUMN TO LOCATE YOUR DANCER'S DRESS REHEARSAL DAY AND TIME BLOCK.
NEW LOCATION: Dress Rehearsal will NOW take place at Bellport Middle School

THIS IS NOT AN OPEN REHEARSAL. THIS IS A WORKING REHEARSAL, ONLY ONE PARENT/GUARDIAN PER STUDENT IS PERMITTED. FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF OUR DANCERS GUESTS ARE NOT WELCOMED DURING DRESS REHEARSALS.
PLEASE ARRIVE AT YOUR SCHEDULED START TIME IN FULL MAKE-UP, FULL HAIR AND IN YOUR TIGHTS. IF YOU HAVE TWO CLASSES SCHEDULED IN THE SAME ONE HOUR TIME BLOCK PLEASE SEE THE FRONT DESK FOR WHICH DANCE WILL BE FIRST.
Please label ALL of your costume/accessory belongings with your students Name.
Students must sign in and report to their assigned section, unless they are onstage or changing costumes. Parents will be seated in the back of the auditorium.
This will be the ONLY opportunity you will have to video or photograph your child’s dance. The first 2 rows in the auditorium are reserved for the parents of that specific class. This will be your only opportunity to record and photograph your child’s performance. Cameras and camcorders are NOT permitted at the recital. You may order a professionally recorded DVD of the recital from our videographer.
Absolutely NO FOOD OR DRINK will be permitted in the auditorium.
No student should be wearing jewelry, unless specified by the instructor. We assume no liability for lost or damaged items. Also please no nail polish or temporary tattoos!
We have provided you with plenty of notice. Please do you best to arrange your schedule around your dress rehearsal time. These rehearsals are very important and take priority over all other activities. If you are involved in a sport please inform your coach of this conflict.
Our photographer, EAP Photography, will be taking group pictures of each class before they go on stage. Makeup pictures may be taken at this time with a $10 prepaid cash deposit. Group pictures take priority so please be patient as makeup single shots will be taken when the time is available. Group pictures can be ordered at Dress Rehearsal.
STEP 3: USE THE LAST COLUMN TO FIND YOUR CLASSES’ RECITAL INFORMATION
THE RECITALS WILL BE HELD AT STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY’S STALLER CENTER - LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE MAIN STONY BROOK CAMPUS. PARKING IS FREE ON THE WEEKENDS SO PLEASE PARK IN THE GARAGE AND WALK AROUND THE FINE ARTS LOOP TO THE STALLER CENTER.
PLEASE ARRIVE 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START TIME LISTED FOR YOUR RECITAL.
All dancers will remain backstage for the duration of the performance. We have our entire cast perform in the wonderful Stage Door tradition of the Finale Dance! Students ages 2 1/2 thru Adult will learn the words and dance in class for one final performance to end the show. Don't be worried... they will be in great hands with our volunteers and always have a great time in the dressing room! If you have a concern please come to the front desk so we can address it with you.
Please have your dancer ready to go with their hair and make-up done and in costume for their first number when you send them backstage. DO NOT send them backstage unprepared.
Send your dancer to the dressing room with a disposable water bottle with their name clearly written on the label and one bag of pretzels. If your child cannot have pretzels please check with the front desk for additional options.
NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED. DVD’s can be purchased in advance or the day of the recital.
NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE THEATRE OR THE BACKSTAGE AREAS.
Please do not have any extra jewelry, nail polish or temporary tattoos on your dancer prior to sending them backstage.
