Stage Door - Inclusion Matters.png

Here at Stage Door we believe that EVERYONE is able to Dance...

That's why we created our DanceAbility Program for ages 3+ - Young Adult!

DanceAbility, now in its ninth year at SDSD,  is a dance education program for children and young adults with special needs (including physical, cognitive, and emotional). Our expert staff will help your child or loved one celebrate their abilities through music, movement, and dance.

We make the dreams of becoming a dancer come true with our five amazing classes.

STAGE DOOR OFFERS:

  • Special-Ed Certified teachers and Dance Therapist on staff

  • A “dance shadow” for every dance student, as needed

  • Closed-Circuit TV for viewing in our waiting area

  • State-of-the-art, wheelchair accessible dance studios

  • Dance Recital is held at the Staller Center at Stony Brook University in June (optional).
