THE CLASS

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance combining elements of modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers learn to focus on connecting the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

This one hour class is for dancers who already have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of contemporary dance. Classes include stretching, contemporary dance technique training, song interpretation, and intermediate to advanced choreography.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Dancers who are 13 years of age or older.

WHEN: 9:00pm - 10:00pm, weekly
INSTRUCTOR: Miss Nuala DeGeorge

DRESS CODE: GIRLS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLACK BODY SUIT, TAN TIGHTS, AND LYRICAL SHOES DETERMINED BY THE TEACHER. BLACK DANCE SHORTS OR PANTS ARE OPTIONAL. HAIR SHOULD BE PULLED AWAY FROM THE FACE. BOYS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLACK T-SHIRT, COMFORTABLE BLACK SHORTS OR PANTS AND LYRICAL SHOES, DETERMINED BY THE TEACHER.
