THE CLASS

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance combining elements of modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers learn to focus on connecting the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

This one hour class is for dancers looking for an introduction to contemporary dance. Class includes stretching, song interpretation, and light contemporary choreography.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Dancers who are ages 11+ and 13+.

WHEN: 8:00pm - 9:00pm, weekly
INSTRUCTOR: Miss Oya Bangura

DRESS CODE: GIRLS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLACK BODY SUIT, TAN TIGHTS, AND LYRICAL SHOES DETERMINED BY THE TEACHER. BLACK DANCE SHORTS OR PANTS ARE OPTIONAL. HAIR SHOULD BE PULLED AWAY FROM THE FACE. BOYS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLACK T-SHIRT, COMFORTABLE BLACK SHORTS OR PANTS AND LYRICAL SHOES, DETERMINED BY THE TEACHER.
