THE CLASS

Jazz classes are based on a combination of Broadway and Modern Jazz. The classes are structured to build strength and develop flexibility, coordination and rhythm. Dance combinations can consist of musical theatre, contemporary and progressive choreography.

This one hour class is for dancers who are interested in learning the artistry and culture behind Afro-Caribbean dance. Classes include stretching and choreography rooted in cultural connection.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Dancers who are 13 years of age or older. Class open to both teens and adults.

INSTRUCTOR: Miss Oya Bangura
AGES: 13 - Adult


DRESS CODE: GIRLS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR TAN JAZZ SHOES, TAN TIGHTS, AND A BLACK BODYSUIT. BLACK DANCE SHORTS OR PANTS ARE OPTIONAL. HAIR SHOULD BE PULLED AWAY FROM THE FACE. BOYS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLACK T-SHIRT, COMFORTABLE BLACK SHORTS OR PANTS AND BLACK JAZZ SHOES.
